We are so excited to announce that Professor Harvey Bishop has been awarded CU Denver's Excellence in Teaching award for CLAS! Each year, the university recognizes esteemed faculty from each college for their teaching and research endeavors. Professor Bishop is among those representing the entire College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for exceptional work as an instructor.

Mike Berry, department chair, states, "Harv is a vital contributor to our teaching mission. He is often the department leader in sections taught and student credit hours generated. His introductory and interdisciplinary courses are highly regarded by students and essential to our online curriculum. The Political Science department proudly celebrates the college's recognition of Harv's exemplary record of teaching with this year's Excellence in Teaching Award." 

Professor Bishop is a dedicated instructor who cares deeply about supporting students with their academic needs. His holistic approach prioritizes student learning and developing academic skills that will allow students to be successful in their college careers. We are extremely grateful to have such an excellent instructor in our department.
