BIPOC Student Resource Committee Spring Meeting

Published: April 12, 2024

The Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Students Resource Committee would like to invite students to its meeting this semester on Thursday, April 18th from 12:00 - 1:30 pm in person. The physical meeting will take place in the PSCI library on the third floor of the student commons building. Students who cannot attend in-person, can join remotely on zoom: https://ucdenver.zoom.us/j/96005627535

The BIPOC Students Resource Committee is a faculty committee in the Department of Political Science at CU Denver dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for students of color in the classroom, on campus, and in the community. As part of this effort, the committee holds two regular meetings every semester for students of color to discuss concerns, experiences, or issues pertaining to racial intimidation, discrimination, or harassment.

Students may also contact members of the committee at any time throughout the semester to ensure racist incidents will be brought to the attention of the department and other campus units, such as the Office of Equity, CARE Team, Ombuds Office, or the Phoenix Center at Auraria. The primary purpose of the committee is to listen to and collaborate with BIPOC students to institutionalize antiracist resources and strategies at CU Denver.
