This document will teach you how to connect to a network file share at CU Denver using macOS.

You will need the following for this to work:

Instructions

  1. Open Finder.

  2. In the top menu bar, select Go -> Connect to Server.

  3. For the address, type in the address of your network file share in the following format: smb://[file share address]/[folder name]

    For example: smb://Wilson.ucdenver.pvt/Engineering$
    NOTE: While off campus, adding “.ucdenver.pvt” as noted in the above example is a must.

  4. When prompted to login, use your University credentials.

  5. Once login is complete, the window showing your file share should appear.
