Doctorate in clinical health psychology with expertise in oncology, primary care, pain management, endocrinology, and neuropsychology. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in bone marrow transplant in 2007. Has worked in private and public healthcare systems, including the VA for over 20 years. Served as Clinical Training Director at a large, integrated care public health system for 6 years, and has extensive experience providing care to underserved and marginalized patient populations. Has also been involved with clinical training of psychology students in multidisciplinary settings throughout her career. Dr. Baca-Chieza is bicultural and fluently bilingual in English and Spanish. Active in state leadership, advocacy, and policy on behalf of psychologists and Coloradans, she served as the former Diversity Representative and Past President of the Colorado Psychology Association and Federal Advocacy Coordinator for the American Psychological Association for the State of Colorado.
