CLAS Sponsored Destination Imagination

Published: May 6, 2014

Destination Imagination contests happen in the spring all around Colorado and the Nation–with students in grades K-12 competing in categories as diverse as improvisation, technology, fine arts and service learning.

These contests culminate in a fun and educational Colorado State Contest, this year on April 12, where over 5,000 people visited the Auraria campus (1,500 students, 1,000 adult volunteers and more than 3,000 team parents and supporters). Until this year, CU Denver had no representation at the state contest -- but because of CLAS sponsorship CU Denver was proudly represented this year. CLAS participated at an all-day expo in the Tivoli Turnhalle, and Associate Dean Marjorie Levine-Clark was among VIPs presenting awards at the evening ceremony.
