Dr. Argys works to promote the research and creative activities of the faculty. Her responsibilities include oversight of sponsored programs within CLAS, development of policies and programs to enhance faculty research opportunities and facilitation of research connections across departments, colleges and campuses. Argys seeks to expand and enhance research and creative activities by graduate and undergraduate students and scholarly collaboration between students and faculty.

Ms. Achziger coordinates grants and contracts activities within the college. She acts as a liaison between those preparing proposals and the Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC). Ms. Achziger assists Principal Investigators (PIs) in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and contracts by interfacing with the PI and the OCG to ensure that all forms and submission requirements are met so that the submission is successful. She also tracks awards, facilitates report submission, and serves as a resource for information regarding external funding opportunities. Ms. Achziger handles all aspects of your submission for financial support up to and including the set up of your speedtype.

Ms. Nylander oversees all CLAS contracts and grants Post-Award Administration. She works in concert with Ms. Achziger to assist PIs with managing their awards.

  • CLAS Dissemination and CRISP Grant applications

    The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) has announced the 2017 - 2018 dissemination grant applications deadlines.  The due dates are 10/13/2017 and 03/02/2018. Dissemination Grants support  faculty to engage in activities that promote their research and creative work and enhance the profile of the College and University. A critical feature of a productive research program is the ability to disseminate findings and engage in scholarly discourse with colleagues around the world to inform future research activities, develop productive research collaborations, and support new grant applications.     The CLAS Research Innovation Seed Program (CRISP) 2017 - 18 due date is 03/02/2018.  The CRISP program is designated specifically to promote innovative research and creative activities and encourage the submission of applications for externally funded research. CRISP funds are intended to provide seed money to fund studies used in grant proposals and to facilitate research and creative activities that could not be completed successfully with currently available resources. Applications are accepted each spring.  Please follow the link above for details about how to apply.
