Research Interests: I am a graduate student in the Buma lab looking into how long term exposure to disturbance impacts ecosystem characteristics. The disturbance agents I'm focusing on are windstorms and landslides, and the ecosystem properties I'm investigating in response to these agents are aboveground biomass carbon, soil carbon, and the iron-pan horizon. I enjoy fieldwork as well as attempting to communicate the stories within and around the science I'm engaged with. Ultimately, I aim to use science as a tool to inform natural resource management.
