Dr. Catherine Jarnevich photoInformation about invasive species at different scales, geographic and temporal, is needed to inform management prioritization. We can use species distribution models and simulation models to predict where species currently are, to forecast risk, and to evaluate alternative scenarios. Along with developing these models, I investigate their limitations and how to improve them. While many suitability models exist, there is often a divide between researchers creating these models and practitioners who may find them useful in informing land management actions.
