Marisa Westbrook is a PhD student in HBS. Her research seeks to address the challenges and opportunities confronting individuals, communities, and local governments in pursuing collaboration for better health at the neighborhood level. Her research interests focus on raising community voices, addressing the structural determinants that act as barriers for health equity, and bringing a critical multidisciplinary lens to the field of public health. She holds a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University and an MPH in Health and Social Behavior from UC Berkeley with a specialty area in Multicultural Health.
