Kate Blanas has served in a variety of roles in education for over 40 years. She has been a teacher of French, German, Spanish, ESL, geography, health and English in classrooms with Kindergarten through adult students. She has also been the world language coordinator in the Adams 12 Five Star Schools, north of Denver and in Douglas County Schools, south of Denver. She has experience in Human Resources, curriculum development teacher training and language consulting and has taught world language methods to teacher candidates at Western State College. Her prior English language teaching experience includes work as an English instructor and program coordinator at Language Consulting International, as well as English instructor for the Colorado African Organization. Kate Blanas is a past-president of the Colorado Congress of Foreign Language Teachers and has participated in many ACCET accreditation visits at English Language schools since 2013. Her education includes a B.A. in French from Colorado College, and an M.A. in ESL from University of Colorado at Denver. She is the mother of two, and has four grandchildren. Some of her interests are skiing, hiking, traveling, cooking and watching movies.
