Research Advocacy in Critical Education (R.A.C.E.) Conference: No Walls, No Bans: Towards Racially-Just Praxis

Research Advocacy in Critical Education (R.A.C.E.) is hosting the inaugural Research Advocacy in Critical Education (R.A.C.E.) Conference: No Walls, No Bans: Towards Racially-Just Praxis to bring together activists, researchers, scholars, and other stake holders committed to social justice and critical education research. Participants will have an opportunity to present and explore the latest innovative research in racially just praxis, and to collaborate and connect with other people engaged in processes that enact racial justice. Supported in part by the CLAS Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives Fund.

 R.A.C.E, in collaboration with Mariana Del Hierro, the Latino Research and Policy Center, and faculty advisor Dr. Cheryl Matias, is sponsoring this conference with workshops, a fellowship competition, closing dinner reception and a plenary panel including: 

 Identity and Undocumented College Student scholar, Dr. Susana Munoz 

  • Critical Whiteness scholar in higher education, Dr. Ricky Lee Allen (University of New Mexico) 
  • Black feminist/anthropologist/scholar, Dr. Bianca Williams (University of Colorado Boulder)
  • Critical Whiteness/Ethnic Studies/Policy scholar, Dr. Nolan Cabrera (University of Arizona)
