Susan Laws started her higher education experience over 20 years ago teaching English as a Second Language at community college. From there, she began a 12-year career teaching foreign language. She has taught English to adults and teenagers in Morocco and France, as well as high school French in her home state of Delaware. In 2008, she joined the University of Colorado community as a member of the Office of Admissions at CU Boulder. In 2014, she transferred to CU Denver to work in CLAS Advising. As Program Specialist, she works with students, staff, and faculty on registration and graduation. She enjoys working on a dynamic and diverse city campus.
Susan graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in French literature. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Adult Learning in CU Denver’s School of Education and Human Development. She is passionate about growing online learning environments and helping nontraditional students access higher education.
Outside of the office she enjoys music festivals, brewery tours, biking around Denver, and the occasional hike.
