Rees research cited in multiple major news sources

Daniel I. Rees, professor of economics, along with colaborator Mark Anderson (of Montana State University) have been popular media commenters of late, discussing their study which shows that younger people in Colorado and Washington can be expected to use marijuana more and alcohol less in the future. Their studies report that legalization of marijuana for medical purposes has already been associated with reductions in heavy drinking, especially among 18- to 29-year-olds, and with an almost 5 percent decrease in beer sales.
