McKinney and Tomback present paper

Shawn T. McKinney, alumni master's student in integrative biology, and Diana F. Tomback, professor of integrative biology, presented at the annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America, August 4-9, 2013, in Minneapolis, MN the paper, “Invasive pathogen trumps natural selection, threatening evolutionary rescue".  McKinney began his studies of whitebark pine while working with Tomback at CU Denver, and received his Ph.D. at the University of Montana with Dr. Tomback on his doctoral committee.  He has worked for the National Park Service and is now with U.S. Geological Survey based at the University of Maine, Orono.  McKinney and Tomback have co-authored 3 peer-reviewed papers and a book chapter.
