Geography Announces Scholarship Winners

Geography and Environmental Sciences’ (GES) is proud to announce the first winners of a new, annual scholarship: the Undergraduate Geography Major Rodgers Research Opportunity Scholarship. Designed to cover field and/or research expenses for travel for research and conferences for GES major undergraduates who undertake scholarly research in collaboration with a GES faculty member, the first-time recipients for this Spring 2014 semester are:

Ashley Bouck – winning submission: “Product Labeling and Geographic Origins of Colorado Honeys”

Susanna Diller – winning submission: “The Relationship of Social Media and Area Marketing in Boyband Popularity”

In addition, GES awarded two students their William M. Rodgers Memorial Scholarship for Spring 2014.  Annually, GES awards this scholarship to a junior and/or senior geography major, and this year’s recipients are Kelsi Miles and Matt Pierce.

Congratulations to all!
