Crost and Rees weigh in on effects of marijuana legalization
Benjamin Crost (left), associate professor of economics, and Daniel Rees (right), professor of economics, comment on what the "cross-price elasticities of demand" between alcohol and marijuana use will be now that both are legal in Colorado. Past research data from Crost and Rees are sited as indicating that alcohol use may go down if marijuana use increases with legalization, but further study will be necessary.
