CLAS Fall Outstanding Graduate Students Announced
Congratulations to our Fall 2013 Outstanding Graduate Student Award Winners:

She has also been successfully teaching in and providing service to her department, and is a former Olympian and member of the US National Rifle Team.
Mary Domenico (MA Communication) submitted a seminar paper to the Western States Communication Association (WSCA) that won two awards: top debut paper for her division and a top paper award from the Organization for Research on Women and Communication (ORWAC). She co-authored (with Sonja Foss and Karen Foss) a textbook, Gender Stories, which came out this year. In addition, Mary has proved herself an effective teacher and has provided service to CLAS as a member of the Student Advisory Council.
Jeffrey Larson (PhD Mathematics and Statistical Sciences) as a student has been carrying out top-tier research in optimization, engaging in a broad collection of teaching activities, and assisting Mike Ferrera with the Math on My Mind program. He has already started a prestigious postdoctoral position at Royal Technical University in Stockholm, Sweden.
