Garcia Marquez Cultural Week a Success
Together with the Denver Public Library and the Hispanic Heritage Center in Denver, the Gabriel García Márquez Project at the University of Colorado Denver hosted the second Gabriel García Márquez Cultural Week in Denver on November 7-9. The conference included movie and documentary screenings, oral recitation of stories and newspaper columns, as well as audio recording presentations—all relating to the life and works of Gabriel García Márquez. A video clip from the conference featuring keynote speaker and cofounder and co-director of the Gabriel García Márquez Project, Professor Conrado Zuluaga, an important Colombian scholar dedicated to the life and works of García Márquez, and can be found here. Andrés Lema-Hincapié of Modern Languages, cofounder and co-director of the Gabriel García Márquez Project, may be contacted for further information at garciamarquezproject@ucdenver.edu.
