CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Un/Shared Worlds
Un/Shared Worlds: Visions of Transdisciplinary Approaches to Ecological, Economic and Arts/Based Anthropology is accepting submissions for display. Un/Shared Worlds is a celebration of scholarship and arts-based work in engaged anthropology with a transdisciplinary focus. It is a side event at the Society for Applied Anthropology meetings in Denver, March 2013. Un/Shared Worlds is at the Rialto Cafe in downtown Denver, 6-9pm Friday March 22, 2013. We are soliciting a range of creative work that 1) reveals intersections among culture, economy and ecology, and 2) contributes to conversations on historical, contemporary and future directions in applied anthropology with a focus on combining and/or fracturing diverse worlds. We seek submissions from undergraduate and graduate students as well as instructors, professors, researchers and community members. First-time and emerging scholar activists and scholar artists are highly encouraged to submit creative pieces. Works-in-progress are acceptable submissions. A limited number of submissions will be accepted and displayed at the event. After the event submissions will be integrated in a digital publication circulated at no cost and available for free download on the event website.
