Biology Students Present at National ASPT Conference
Jared Mastin (Senior, BS) and James Pembrook (MS candidate) attended Botany 2013, the annual meeting of the American Society of Plant Taxonomists, held in New Orleans. Jared presented a poster entitled "Evidence for Genetic Allopolyploidy in Eutrema edwardsii R. Br. (Brassicaceae)," while James, whose travel was supported by a grant from the American Society of Plant Taxonomists, presented a poster entitled "Phylogenetics of Carex section Scirpinae Tuckerman (Cyperaceae)." This research is being mentored by Leo P Bruederle, associate professor of integrative biology.
