Advising Office Announcements and Events
- Friday, Nov. 18– This is the last day for faculty advisors to certify fall 2011 graduation and determine pending honors for undergraduate students. The Commencement Office bases which students' pending honors are published in the commencement program on this deadline. Call Leslie Taylor, 303-556-2555, if you still need to complete certifications.
- Tuesday, Nov. 22 – CLAS Academic Advising Office will be closed for a staff professional development retreat. The office will be open regular operating hours during fall break on Monday the 21st, Wednesday the 23rd and Friday the 25th.
- Wednesday, Dec. 14 – The CLAS Academic Advising Office Open House – 10:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. – A special invitation is extended to everyone in the college to meet the new outstanding additions to the Academic Advising team: Marisa Ligons, Ken English, and Kerri Moncrieff.
- Grade changes and student records – In order to strengthen the University’s commitment to the confidentiality of student records, the CLAS Advising Office will begin asking faculty and staff to show employee credentials in order to review any student records or files. In addition, all Change of Record forms will now go through faculty authenticity-of-signature verification and current instructor-of-record status checks. We greatly appreciate your cooperation and support with ensuring confidentiality of student records.
- Dropping or Withdrawing from classes – We have reached the point in this semester where CLAS students requesting to drop a course or withdrawal from all courses must now submit a written petition with verifiable special circumstances and faculty permission. Be aware, poor academic performance is not considered a special circumstance.
